LONDON, UK – Agribusiness Development Expert and Group Chief Executive Officer of Agri-Impact Limited, Dr. (h.c.) Daniel Fahene Acquaye, has called for a shift from viewing agriculture as a high-risk venture to embracing practical business models that can accelerate commercial farming and attract investment into Ghana’s agricultural sector.

Dr. Acquaye made the call during a panel discussion on “Positioning Ghana as an Agribusiness Investment Hub Beyond Subsistence Agriculture” at the Ghana-UK Investment Summit 2026, held at Raffles London at The OWO.

The Chief Executive Officer of Agri-Impact Limited and Chairman of the Board of the CSIR–Crop Research Institute, Dr. (h.c.) Daniel Fahene Acquaye, is leading an Agri-Impact delegation to the Ghana-UK Investment Summit scheduled for 1–2 June 2026 in London, United Kingdom.

As part of the summit, Dr. Acquaye will join a high-level panel discussion on the theme, “Positioning Ghana as an Agribusiness Investment Hub Beyond Subsistence Agriculture.”

Agri-Impact Limited has announced a partnership with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) to deliver accredited short courses focused on equipping young people with practical skills for the job market.

Deputy CEO of Agri-Impact, Mrs. Juliana Asante-Dartey, disclosed the collaboration at the company’s Dinner and Awards Night, which climaxed the week-long Wrap-Up of the Young Agribusiness Professionals Program (YAPP).

Public and private sector firms have been urged to stop assigning national service personnel (NSPs) menial tasks and instead provide them with the skills, mentorship and hands-on training they need to contribute meaningfully to national development.

The call was made by Daniel Fahene Acquaye, Group Chief Executive Officer of Agri-Impact Limited, who warned that the country risks weakening its human capital potential if companies continue to overlook the value of young graduates entering the workforce.

Mr. Daniel Fahene Acquaye, CEO of Agri-Impact Group and a leading agribusiness expert, has urged African youth to take bold steps into agribusiness and agricultural technology (agritech) as a pathway to wealth creation, job opportunities, food security, and sustainable livelihoods across the continent.

He made this call while addressing the Africa Youth Conference 2025, organized by The Apostolic Church-Ghana at its Resource, Conference, and Retreat Centre in Frafraha, Accra. The conference, themed “Fired Up,” ran from August 25 to 31.

Mr. Daniel Fahene Acquaye, a renowned agribusiness expert and Group CEO of Agri-Impact Limited, has been appointed as an Ambassador of the E-Learning Centre for the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The honour was conferred by the Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, during the 2024 International Youth Day celebration held at the university.

Organised by Agri-Impact Limited on August 12, 2024, the event formed part of the company’s commitment to youth empowerment through agribusiness.

Fresh Logistics Limited (FLL) on Friday, June 6, hosted a high-level delegation from the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) and partners of the INTERFACES Project at its greenhouse cluster farm in Dawhenya in Accra.

The Chief Executive Officer of Agri-Impact Limited, Mr. Daniel Fahene Acquaye, has raised concerns over the budgetary allocation to the agricultural sector in the 2025 national budget saying it is very insufficient.

Speaking at the 2025 Budget Digest organized by PwC in Accra, he complained that the current allocation is inadequate to drive the economic transformation envisioned by the government.

Mr. Acquaye highlighted that out of the total GH¢279 billion budget, only GH¢1.5 billion—representing 0.54%—has been allocated to agriculture.
